Caritas Baby Hospital is seeking to fill-in the following positions. Preference will be given to candidates from Bethlehem area.
Pharmacist
This is a temporary position.
Qualifications:
-This position requires staff with a degree in Pharmacology. The candidate will work on a part time basis (12 hours/week x 2 days, Tuesday and Friday) and must have good English language, computer skills, and at least twelve months’ previous experience in a community Pharmacy. The candidate must have a professional license issued by the Ministry of Health.
Requirements:
-Check prescriptions to ensure that there are no errors and that they are appropriate and safe for the individual patient
-Provide advice on the dosage of medicines and the most appropriate form of medication, for example, tablet, ointment or inhaler.
-Be able to work on the donated medication and discard what is not used in the country.
-Ensure medicines are stored appropriately and securely.
-Write guidelines for drug use within the hospital and implement hospital regulations.
-Keeping records of pharmacy transactions (purchases, distribution, stock controls, inventory).
-Preparing special pharmaceutical formulas for patients.
-Interpersonal skills and a caring and sympathetic manner, as the work usually involves contact with social cases in outpatient department.
