Catholic Relief Services is an international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States and has been present in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza since 1961. The CRS JWBG country program currently supports development/relief programs and activities in the sectors of civil society, humanitarian assistance, youth empowerment, education, and peace & justice. For further information about CRS, please visit: www.crs.org. CRS is seeking highly qualified candidates for the following position:

Position Title: Senior Project Officer for Partnership and Compliance (SPO)
Location: Gaza Field Office Reports
To: Gaza Field Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The SPO will be the primary liaison with Palestinian partner organizations receiving awards under CPP; respectfully supporting both their capacity development as well as their implementation of CPP awarded (sub) grants to implement all activities. The SPO will lead the overall supervision of partner relations and compliance aspects to ensure effective adherence to CRS partnership principles and to CRS and USAID compliancy rules. In addition to the overall role of supporting partnerships and compliance for all partner organizations under CPP, the SPO will have specific responsibility for supervising the planning, designing, implementation, and timely and accurate reporting of child-friendly spaces (CFS), including a supervisory role for the CFS team. Based on this work, the SPO will provide insight into CPP Emergency Response overall effectiveness and efficiency. The SPO will also undertake local representation to nongovernmental organizations and donors.

PPSITION REQUIREMNETS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Qualifications
-Minimum of five years’ work experience in development programs.
-Extensive experience in USAID funded projects.
-Prior experience in managing capacity building activities especially in the NGO context coupled with good knowledge of participatory CB tools including the ability to carry out training and coaching for the benefit of CSOs staff.
-Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds.
-Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with donors, government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders.
-High level of English-language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
-Good writing and reporting skills to a multitude of audience
-Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel)

Education
University degree in management, community development, or related fields. Master degree is preferable.
