The European Union Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support (EUPOL COPPS) is seeking dynamic, highly skilled professionals for immediate recruitment for the vacancy mentioned below:

Job Title:Human Resources Assistant
Reference number : TMSL002/14-15
Status:Temporary Position – 4 Months
Location : Ramallah
Closing Date : February 05, 2015
Estimated Starting date : March 01, 2015


Main tasks
-To perform administrative duties in Human Resources Office; maintain both electronic and hard copy filing in office and archive room; keeping track of necessary documentation and items needed in HR department such as employment contracts, updating induction training information, etc;
-Act as a focal point in the implementation and maintenance of the HR database, ensuring the correct and timely update of the HR information (update employee data following selection, update position data and organizational structures, reorganizations, training courses, time attendance, leaves, etc) and contributing to the preparation of HR related statistics and reports;
-Assist in the selection and recruitment process: preparing of vacancies advertisements, registering incoming applications, checking formal requirements and eligibility criteria, supporting selection panels, organizing logistics of the interviews, preparing job offers and employment contracts, liaising with the selected candidates on matters related to entry into service (employment conditions, relocation, etc);
-Supporting the integration of new staff at the mission through information and guidance,scheduling the induction training;
-Act as a focal point for procedures related to taking-up duties and termination of employment matters;
-Manage HR functional mailbox and keep an effective HR archiving system both digitally and hard-copies;
-Perform the administrative tasks related to the diplomatic/protocol issues in collaboration with the relevant responsible staff in the EU Delegation/EUREP office;
-Perform other duties as required by the Chief of Human Resources;

Qualifications and Experience:
-Successful completion of secondary education;
-Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in positions related to the main tasks of the post;
-Familiar with EU processes would be an asset;
-Solid work ethics, punctuality, commitment to quality, careful attention to detail, ability to perform under stress, willingness to work flexible hours, good multi-tasking and organisational skills;
-Very good organizational skills and ability to work within tight timelines while maintaining accuracy;
-Very good interpersonal skills, service orientated attitude and capacity to work effectively within multicultural working environment;
-High Level of discretion for confidential work and information;
-Ability to stick to strict deadlines;
-Proven work experience within a multicultural environment desirable;
-Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic;
-Excellent writing and communications skills together with experience in cross-cultural communication;
-A working knowledge and understanding of Hebrew would be an asset;
-Ability to use Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power-point) and internet;
