MA'AN Development Center is seeking qualified candidates for the position of
PROJECT COORDINATOR/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST Job Purpose:
The role of the Project Coordinator/Technical Specialist is to work with a team consisting of the Project Manager, Partner organization, and the Program Director, in carrying out the objectives of a project, ensuring comprehensive, timely and high quality outcomes of the assigned project.
Major Duties:
1-Administrative and technical supervision, follow up and implementation of project's activities.
2-Participate in preparation of detailed and effective project action plans.
3-Provide technical support in the field
4-Close follow up on the implementation of the different components of the project
5-Ensure all project activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations.
6-Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper activities implementation on the ground.
7-Prepare periodical reports as requested by MA'AN and donor in consultation with the Project Manager.
8-Assist the finance department in preparing periodic financial documents and reports
9-Assist the Monitoring and Evaluating officer for monitoring and evaluation of the project by reporting to donor on the project outputs and outcomes.
10-To document all activities of the project(s) and maintain an efficient project(s) filing system including all project related documents.
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
-BA with three years’ experience in coordination, community mobilization/facilitation, development, engineering, or other related fields.
Skills
-Experience in home renovations for Bedouins
-Experience in installing solar panels for homes
-Excellent networking and coordination skills.
-Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
-Advanced computer literacy.
-Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
-Ability to start working immediately.
-Excellent communication, representation, networking, administration and negotiating skills.
-Language proficiency (in speaking, reading and writing) in both English and Arabic.
-Demonstrated knowledge, awareness and understanding of issues relating to the current context of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
-Commitment to working with Bedouin communities
-Proficiency in WinWord, Excel and MS Project.
Personal Attributes for both positions:
-Readiness to work within a team.
-Willingness to work under stress and a heavy workload.
-Willingness to travel within West Bank.
-Ability to form good relationships with colleagues and partners.
