Fundraising and Communication Manager
The NGO Development Center (NDC) is a non-profit Palestinian organization whose main
function is to empower non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to respond to the needs of
the poor and marginalized in the West Bank and Gaza. In line with NDC’s mandate, NDC is
currently seeking to fill the position of Fundraising and Communication Manager to be based
at its offices in Al-Ram.
The Fundraising and Communication Manager is a member of the senior management of NDC
and reports to the NDC Director.
Major Responsibilities:
• Implement NDC’s communication and fundraising strategies and plans.
• Secure sustainable international and local funding base for the organization and
maintain funding targets for NDC.
• Plan and develop new income streams, in particular exploring the potential of the
diaspora, corporates and special events.
• Maintain a donor management information system of current and potential donors.
• Prepare proposals in coordination with the NDC team for submission to donor
agencies.
• Responsible for information management, including needs assessments; preparation
of situation analysis reports and concept papers to support the submission of proposals
for funding.
• Ensure adequate visibility of NDC by supervising the development and periodic
production, both in published and electronic forms, of high quality public information
tools, such as periodic progress reports, annual reports, articles, press releases,
advertisements, newsletters and promotional videos.
• Supervise and ensure the continuous updating of NDC website www.ndc.ps and its
portal www.masader.ps and the utilization of these websites and social media for
online fundraising.
• Promote NDC’s image, its mission, strategic objectives and programs in all aspects of
information dissemination.
• Supervise unit staff and ensure adherence to work plans and compliance with the
Financial and Administrative Manual of Procedures.
Education and Experience
• Higher degree from an accredited university in Development, Social Science,
Marketing, Public or Business Administration or any related field.
• At least seven years proven experience and track record in fundraising, communication
and programs management in the development field.
• Expert knowledge of the NGO sector and its role.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic language skills; ability to write
clearly and concisely about complex issues.
• Experience in supervising staff and overseeing large multi-faceted campaigns.
• Management, financial and administrative competence.
• Experience of using donor databases and other office software packages.
