The Representative Office of Canada to the Palestinian Authority is pleased to announce a job opportunity for a Common Services Assistant with an attractive compensation and benefits package. The competition is open to all persons who live in the West Bank or in Israel and who are legally entitled to work in the West Bank or at the Representative Office of Canada.
Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will report to the Common Services Officer. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
-Provide administrative support to the Representative Office in the area of Common Services (i.e. Human Resources Management, Budget Management; Logistics and Protocol, Property & Material Management).
-Responsible for liaising with the Regional Service Center located in London with regards to Common services.
-Support the Management of the Representative Office in the management of their budgets.
-Support the administration of human resource activities for the Representative Office, including: staffing; payroll; benefit administration, and labour relations.
-Provide services to internal and external clients of the Representative Office.
-Other tasks as required.
Qualifications and Requirements: The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
-Post-secondary degree from a recognized institution;
-Proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken);
-At least three (3) years of recent (within the past five (4) years), relevant work experience working as an Administrative assistant in a similar position for a corporate entity, international organization, foreign, or other government organization.
-Knowledge of administrative and office procedures, budget planning, human resource practices, and/or procurement and inventory management.
-Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) and other office procedures.
Starting Salary: 135,581 NIS/ year + paid overtime and other attractive benefits. .
