The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of:
Associate Professor- Humanities
1-Vacancy No. : 156/2014/X
2-Duty Station : Ramallah Men Training Center
3-Department : Educational Sciences Faculty
4-Basic Salary : 923.6 JD+ that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency &
the candidate qualifications.
Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
5-Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.
Special Professional Occupational Allowance of 160JD per month based on candidate scientific ranking
6-Qualifications:
-A PH.D. in Humanities & Social Science from an accredited and recognized university or higher learning institution.
-Written scholarly work such as the publication of books, manuscripts, research work and articles in recognized publication firms or refereed scientific journals published by higher learning institutions, research centres or internationally known publication houses directly related to faculty curriculum.
-An associate professorship from an accredited and recognized university or higher learning institution based on scholarly work and promotion through regular university channels.
-At least 5 years experience in teaching and research at the university level.
-Extensive experience in guiding and supervising students at the faculty level and particularly in practice teaching.
-Very good knowledge of English and Arabic.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
-Previous experience in teaching at the basic and/or secondary level.
-Demonstrated competency in preparing curriculum enrichment/self-learning materials.
