ACTED was created in 1993 to support populations affected by the conflict in Afghanistan. Based in Paris, France, ACTED now operates in 34 countries worldwide, with over 200 international and 4000 national staff. ACTED has a 117 million € budget for over 350 projects spanning 8 sectors of intervention; including emergency relief, food security, health promotion, economic development, education & training, microfinance, local governance & institutional support, and cultural promotion.

ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory in May 2007, through food security interventions in the West Bank and then in Gaza. ACTED is currently implementing projects funded by ECHO, UNDP, OCHA ERF, and Europe Aid, which aim to protect vulnerable households in the West Bank and to strengthen civil society actors across the occupied Palestinian territory.
III-Position Profile
-Part time Job ( 4.30pm - 9:00pm) from Sunday to Thursday,
-On call duting during the night andweek end ( Friday and Saturday).
-Transport ACTED staff to different locations throughout the West Bank
-Collect and deliver small items related to ACTED office anf The Guest house.
-Transport international ACTED staff between Ramallah Office and Ramallah Guest house.
-Ensure that ACTED vehicles are properly maintained.
-Maintain ACTED vehicle log books.
-Verify that all tools and items (spare tyres, water, oil, first aid kit, etc.) are always kept in ACTED vehicles.
-Communicate any security issues to Logistics and Security Officer.
-Carry out administrative or basic maintenance tasks in the offices and Guest house when required.
-Available to work during the night when requested.
Observe safe driving practises.
IV-Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years driving experience with good references.
-Arabic mother tongue and good level of spoken English;
-Available to undertake frequent travel to different locations in the West Bank,
-Experience with International NGOs is preferred.
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure, and to complete work with high quality and attention to detail.
-Flexibility and capacity to work under pressure.
-Commitment towards principles and ethics of humanitarian aid, including compliance with ACTED standards and principles.
-Experience in adhering to security protocols and procedures.
V-Conditions:
-West Bank ID holder
-Over 26 years old.
-Residence in Ramallah City Only.
-Valid driving license with a good driving record.
