St. Yves is looking to hire a Communications Coordinator for 8 months, renewable upon funding availability.
The Communications Coordinator will be working in the Advocacy Department and will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Responsible for maintaining and developing local and international media relations and networking.
2. Implementation of advocacy campaigns
3. Responsible for maintaining and developing the contact network (likeminded organizations and international bodies) in regard of advocacy issues.
4. Responsible for maintaining and updating website as well as social media activity.
5. Organization of the print material of St. Yves, e.g. reports, awareness raising brochures.
6. Implement the contact strategy with the media.
7. Implement the national and international awareness raising program
Credentials and Experience:
1. A university degree in international relations, political science, communication, journalism or any other related field. Masters is an asset.
2. At least 2 years of experience in the advocacy field or other related fields.
3. Experience in website management and social media.
4. Experience in advocacy campaigns and events.
5. Knowledge of human and civil rights.
6. Profound knowledge of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Excellent research skills
2. Extended computer skills including website hosting and social media campaigning
3. Experience in writing and publishing
4. Excellent command of both Arabic and English. Hebrew is an asset.
5. A high degree of motivation and self-esteem, and the ability to work in close and amiable cooperation within a team.
