Job Vacancies at NGO Development Center - AlRam
The NGO Development Center (NDC) is an innovative Palestinian non-profit organization
that empowers Palestinian NGOs to better provide vital services to Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza, especially the poor and marginalized. NDC is currently seeking to fill the following positions to be based at its office in Al-Ram.
1.Capacity Building Coordinator
Objective of Position:
Coordinate institutional capacity building activities to beneficiary NGOs and to provide governance and management technical assistance to these NGOs.
Specific Duties:
1. Coordinate institutional technical assistance activities to partner NGOs
2. Coordinate the work of the management financial officer and other NDC capacity building consultants
3. Provide Governance and management technical assistance to partner NGOs that include, but, not limited to, the following:
- Regulatory framework for Board of Directors (such as structure, meetings management, committees, elections, roles and responsibilities).
- Regulatory framework for the General Assembly (such as structure, meetings management, committees, elections, roles and responsibilities).
- Internal by-laws.
- Strategic planning (vision, mission, goals, implementation plan, etc.)
4. Provide training to NGOs based on the NDC tool kit.
5. Coordinate, and when required, manage the work of other consultants working with NDC.
6. Prepares terms of references (TORs) and contracts for consultants.
7. Coordinate and facilitate meetings and workshops.
8. Monitor the Results Framework for the sector development department and the achievement of results.
9. Monitor budget allocations and expenditures against the approved budgets and plans
10. Prepare progress and periodic reports.
11. Any other activities and/or assignments as assigned by the Sector Development Manager.
Qualifications:
• Master degree in management, social science, engineering or other related fields.
• 5 years of proven experience in providing capacity building activities that includes training and coaching to NGOs.
• Specific and clear experience in providing governance and management technical assistance activities to NGOs.
• Good understanding of the NGO sector in Palestine.
• Professional reporting skills.
• Excellent command of Arabic and English languages.
• Ability to work and travel in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
2.Financial Management Technical Assistance Officer
Objective of Position:
Provide partner NGOs with financial management technical assistance to improve their financial management performance and enhance their capacities to comply with the NGOs Code of Conduct. Specific Duties:
1. Provide financial management technical assistance to partner NGOs
that include, but, not limited to, the following:
- Development of financial systems and procedures
- Development of financial manuals
- Coach NGOs on developing budgets and financial reports
- Coach NGOs on the Code of Conduct principles in relation to financial management and procurement
2. Provide training to NGOs based on the NDC tool kit.
3. Assist grants program Projects Officers in the area of accounting and financial management
4. Prepares terms of references (TORs) and contracts for consultants when required.
5. Coordinate and facilitate meetings and workshops.
6. Monitor budget allocations and expenditures against the approved budgets and plans
7. Prepare progress and periodic reports.
8. Any other activities and/or assignments as assigned by the Sector Development Manager.
Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in financial management, accounting, CPA,
business administration.
• 5 years of proven experience in providing capacity building activities
that includes training and coaching to NGOs.
• Specific and clear experience in providing financial management
technical assistance activities to NGOs.
• Good understanding of the NGO sector in Palestine.
• Professional reporting skills.
• Excellent command of Arabic and English languages.
• Ability to work and travel in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
