Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie) - Education to Work Transition Project- مشروع تعزيز جودة برنامج أنظمة المعلومات المحاسبية
Palestine Technical University/ Kadoorie(PTUK), has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund(QIF)- Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank to implement a project entitled: “Enhancing the Quality of Accounting Information System program” and intend to apply part of this grant for the selection and employment of the following highly qualified consultant to be part of the small core staff responsible for the implementation of the project under the supervision of the project director and the steering committee:
(منسق المشروع ) Title: Project Coordinator
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the successful implementation of the project through executing project implementation plan and providing adequate following up for the project activities.
2. Supervising and modifying the project action plan whenever needed.
3-Coordinating meetings between the project partners and project team members as needed.
4-Following up all procurement and financial issues related to the project in coordination with the financial and procurement department.
5-Following up all training activities with Private sector partner according to the suggested training plan
6-Follow up financial issues, preparing procurement plans and financial reports incompliance
with donor’s regulations.
7-Preparing quarterly progress reports as required by PTUK.
8-Preparing the final implementation completion report(ICR) of the project
9-Evaluation and monitoring project progress at all stages of the project.
Minimum Requirements:
1-BA degree in Accounting, Business administration, Auditing or Information System
2-At least 3 years of proven past work experience in related fields or project Management
3-Good knowledge of financial and procurement management.
4-Very good communication and team work skills.
5-Fluency in English and excellent report writing.
6-Very good computer working skills.
7-Ability to work under pressure
8-Knowledge in higher education institutions is a plus.
9-Knowledge with World Bank Procedures is a plus.
Place of Work: This post will be in Palestine Technical University/ Kadoorie - Tulkarm
Time Frame:The duration of the assignment is 28 months starting from October 2013 and continuing through January 2016; The consultant shall work 8 hours per day 5 days per week.
