IT Specialist - Hebron
An NGO working in the fields of: Agriculture, Natural Resource Management and Researches. Based in Hebron is seeking the following position.
Successful candidate will be under the supervision of the GIS and Computer department director.
IT Specialist
Responsibilities
-Support end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service oriented manner;
-Setup, management, and maintenance of IT-related equipments;
-Monitor backup jobs and ensure high level of completion success rate;
-Develop and update organization web page, related sub-domains, facebook account and mailing list;
-Develop new dynamic interactive web page using latest, simplest and user-friendly technologies;
-Training staff with IT related equipments and programs;
-Assist the IT director with project work to grow the technology infrastructure of the organization;
-Assist with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems;
-Monitor and develop organization computer network, user accounts/privileges and mail accounts;
-Ensure data integrity with regard to projects and programs data;
-Provide input and recommendations to the organization surrounding hardware and software technologies and how these technologies can assist the organization being especially proactive with new technologies;
-Develop and monitor performance levels of software and hardware and evaluate, recommend, and propose alternative methods of information processing; and
-Develop and maintain information architectures (data, application, network, equipments) ensuring the system is on-line daily;
Experience:
-B.A. IT, Management Information Systems or related degree;
-Experience with some or all of: Flex, Python, JAVA, HTML5, MySQL, PHP, SharePoint, .NET, AJAX, ASPX and/or Flash Development Experience;
-Self-motivated and dedication to the work;
-Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;
-Ability to work within a team environment;
-Good command of English language;
-Knowledge and experience in design programs such as, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Flash is preferable;
-Knowledge and experience in GIS web application is preferable; and
-Fresh graduated encouraged to apply.
