Team Leader Inclusive Education (Gaza) - NRC Palestine - Job Purpose Summary: The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Education Programme in Gaza focuses on ensuring access to quality formal education for all children.


The Education programme presently requires Team Leader- Inclusive Education to work within a UNESCO led project with MoE and UNRWA. The Team Leader (Inclusive Education) is responsible for the liaison and coordination of implementation of activities within the inclusive education project. She/he will liaise with inclusive education team leader is to coordinate the project activities at the designated schools.

Skills and Qualifications Required
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or a related field.
General training in inclusive education and methodology highly desirable.


Relevant Experience
At least 5 years of project relevant experience.
Experience of research and participatory needs assessments.
Experience of project coordination, teaching, youth work and/or school management;
Experience of and commitment to children’s rights, participatory approaches to aid and development.
Desirable Experience
Experience of working with public schools
Experience in inclusive and non-formal education
Experience of community mobilisation and working with volunteers
Experience with monitoring and evaluation including data collection
Primary Duties
Coordinate the activities of the inclusive education project.
Participate in all team planning (internal with NRC team and external with other actors such as UNESCO/ MoE/ UNRWA) and tool development exercises.
Co-facilitate training and awareness raising sessions.
Preparation of all project related training material with partners and NRC staff.
and track school level activities based on project plan
Ensure involvement of school management, students, teachers and wider community in activities undertaken in the programme including assessment and maintain good relationships with all parties.
Facilitate and follow up the awareness sessions at schools. Ate with schools/CBOs to ensure effective delivery of child clubs activities.

Commencement:As soon as possible
Contract period:1 year with possibility of extension and 3 months’ probation
