Project Officer Assistants - Action Against Hunger ACF - Gaza
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.
ACF is recruiting for its Gaza office a Three Project Officer Assistants For 3 months from the starting date of the project
The Candidate will:
-Supervise the daily field activity of solid waste primary collection in the identified areas of intervention in coordination with the local municipalities.
-To be fle xible in the working hours to ensure the proper implementation of the activity. The Project Officer Assistant will work 40 hours per week, Saturday to Thursday, with hours changing between 06.00am–15.00pm.
-Orient Cash for Work workers about their roles and responsibilities, work sites, and roles of ACF and local authorities. Orient Cash for Work workers about insurance coverage and reimbursement procedures.
-Assist the Head of Project and WASH Program Manager in identification of work sites, preparing site plans and technical documents.
-Check the daily attendance of beneficiaries (unskilled workers), assign workers to locations according to the work plan and identified areas of intervention, and inform the Head of project of any problems or constraints in the field.
-Ensure the quality of solid waste primary collection work in the assigned area.
-Distribute equipment to workers each morning, collect and store the tools after daily works, and conduct a weekly tools inventory. Ensure equipment and visibility items are used properly.
Profile of the Candidate:
-University Degree in any relevant major.
-Experience of managing Cash for Work workers.
-Experience of working with local or international NGOs.
-Good knowledge and awareness of the areas of intervention.
-Experience of working with local municipalities.
-To have experience in reading and understanding site plans.
-Experience of working in Solid Waste Management (Desirable)
-Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
-Motivation and commitment to humanitarian work.
-Demonstrates high level of transparency and honesty, ACF will not tolerate any breach of transparency
