Field Engineer - International Management Group - Gaza
Vacancy no: IMG/PL18-2013-02: “Field Engineer in Gaza Strip” IMG (International Management Group) is an International organisation in technical assistance,
monitoring and implementation of EU funded projects in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
IMG is soliciting applications for the position of a Field Engineer and looking for a dynamic, highly organized professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for a mid-term engagement.
Duty station: Gaza City Office.
Commencement date: 1 August 2013
End date: 28 February 2014
Tasks:
Under the overall supervision of the IMG Team Leader, and under direct supervision of the Programme Manager the engineer’s duties are – but not limited - to the following:
-All tasks related to the IMG verification of projects in the frame of the Private Sector Reconstruction Programme in Gaza:
-Entry of data to PSRG database
-Preparation of verification site visit according to instruction from programme manager
-Carry out site visit, collect documentation, photographic documentation, evaluate projects (construction works, procurement of office equipment and machinery) according to guidelines issued by IMG
-Prepare site visit report
-Upload site visit report to PSRG database
-Any other tasks related to this programme
-Monitoring of EC funded programmes according to agreement between EUREP and IMG.
-Entry of data to database
-Preparation of site visit according to instruction from programme manager
-Carry out monitoring visit, collect documentation, photographic documentation, evaluate projects
-Write site visit reports and upload Report to IMG Programme manager weekly and ad hoc on progress of works.
-Prepare contribution to IMG monthly reports, and ad hoc reports, upon request by IMG programme manager.
-Any other task as agreed with IMG Team Leader/programme Manager.
Qualifications and Experiences
The minimum requirements for the position of the Field Engineer are :
-BA or higher in civil engineering or related fields
-5 years of professional experience in engineering works
-Fluent in English and Arabic.
The incumbent should have good inter-personal and team work skills. He/she should have demonstrated capacity to take initiative and to be accountable for results; to make affective use of computer software, write concise technical reports, general reporting on activitites, and provide effective support to colleagues.
